The non-profit organisation Estonian Schnauzer Club was founded on February 19, 2000 in Tallinn.

ESC is a voluntary public organisation for breeders of pedigree Schnauzer (3) dogs that in its activities applies the FCI rules and standards on Schnauzers and the EKU articles of association and decisions.

ESC is a pedigree club that directs the breeding and raising of Schnauzers, organises special shows and trials and takes part in them. In addition it also organises annual summer camps, competitions and courses.

The objective is to establish a sympathetic attitude towards nature and animals.
The club's task is to coordinate and control breeding, register pedigree breeders, gather necessary information and keep records, do promotional work, help in acquiring and raising dogs, and represent the interests of the club members in Estonia and in other countries.

By now 30 Schnauzer owners have joined the club.
